Young Serbia fan goes viral after predicting World Cup clash vs Brazil

GiveMeSport Football

Serbia and Brazil will begin their World Cup campaigns on Thursday evening as they face off in what is set to be a bumper Group G clash.

The Selecao are many people’s tips to win the tournament thanks to the star-studded side the nation has at its disposal.

From the bottom, right up to the very top of the side, Brazil’s team for the 2022 World Cup is absolutely dripping with quality.

Alisson Becker will likely start in goal – arguably the best goalkeeper in the world.

Meanwhile, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos would make a strong centre-back pairing for any side.

In the midfield, Brazil boss Tite, can choose from the likes of Casemiro, Fabinho, Bruno Guimaraes and Lucas Paqueta.

But it’s in their attacking options where Brazil really thrive…

Neymar Jr, Vinicus Jr, Gabriel Jesus, Richarlison, Raphinha and Rodrygo Goes all represent real world class options that can inflict serious damage on any opponent they come up against.

Needless to say, the demanding fans of the Selecao are expecting big things this year and many anticipate a sixth World Cup will be added to the nation’s collection this December.

Although whilst the entirety of Brazil and much of the footballing world fancy Brazil to produce the goods, one young Serbian fan reckons they’re all smoke and mirrors.

Young fan predicts Serbia vs Brazil

Live on ESPN Brazil, a reporter asked one young lad from Belgrade what his prediction was for the game.

His response was pure gold.

“I think that Serbia will win 3-0 against Brazil because Mitrovic will score two goals at the start, and in the second half, Vlahovic will score because the whole defence is terrifying, and Neymar is going to fall and cry like a baby.”

We presume he meant that the whole Brazil defence was ‘terrible’ rather than ‘terrifying’ but regardless, kudos to the lad for making such a hilarious prediction live on air.

Should his prediction actually come true, Serbia inflicting such a heavy defeat against Brazil would undoubtedly trump any shock we have seen so far at this World Cup.

The Eastern European nation do have a seriously strong side this year that boasts some real stars – and they have every chance of progressing to the knockout phase of the tournament.

But to hammer Brazil? Na, that’s a bet we’ll pass on, thanks.

Can you name these 30 ‘st…
