Arsenal’s lack of Champions League football next season could be an obstacle in their chase for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, according to claims from Brazil.


Goal Brasil writes that with the Gunners’ potential failure to stay in the Premier League’s top four, there are a couple of reasons why the pursuit for the 25-year-old may collapse, despite other aspects going well.

The first one is the smaller investment in signings, with the report claiming Arsenal would need to decrease their current €50m offer for the player.

The lack of a place in the Champions League would also have influence on the player’s decision, especially because there are other European clubs who should bid for him.
