What Youri Tielemans previously said about playing Champions League football amid Arsenal links


Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League this season, meaning they will return to the Europa League next campaign.

Whilst Mikel Arteta‘s side certainly improved, there were obvious issues with the Gunners’ squad depth, particularly in central midfield. One player who’s been touted with a summer move to the Emirates is Leicester City star, Youri Tielemans.

Recent reports from The Telegraph have suggested that Arteta is pushing Arsenal to make an opening bid of £25million for the Belgian. previously reported that the north Londoners are interested in signing the former Monaco star and if the above report is to be believed, Edu and co will certainly be acting on that interest.

Nevertheless, they may find it that little bit more difficult to sign him after missing out on Champions League football to north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
