Kylian Mbappe is anything but pleased with his situation at Paris Saint-Germain after agreeing to sign a contract extension back in May.
The Frenchman demanded to be the leader of a competitive PSG team, demanding to be promised that the club will strengthen their squad.
According to the British newspaper The Sun, Mbappe has reportedly asked PSG to prioritize the signing of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City.
Mbappe believes that the team lacks creativity in the final third and wants the Portuguese midfielder to provide PSG with a spark upfront.
Silva’s contract runs until June 2025
The first obstacle for a potential Silva move to PSG is that his contract runs until June 2025. However, Silva has already publicly stated on several occasions that he could leave the club before his deal expires should a tempting offer arrives.
His current market value is set at 86.8 million euros, but Pep Guardiola would not happily give the green light for Silva to depart the team.
The 28-year-old midfielder is a key player for the Catalan coach, although in recent times he has accused the Portuguese and other players of lacking the right attitude.
Mbappe and Bernardo Silva: Two ‘old acquaintances’
The two coincided at Monaco between 2015 and 2017. They played 52 matches alongside each other, recording 33 wins, 10 draws and nine defeats.
Mbappe and Silva even managed to break PSG‘s monopoly by leading Monaco to Ligue 1 glory in 2017.
