Brazilian icon Ronaldinhio has offered advice to Mohamed Salah on his Liverpool future and said he must do what ‘makes him happy’.
Salah is out of contract at the end of next season and has yet to agree a new deal at Anfield. The contract saga has been bumbling on in the background throughout what has been another superb campaign for the Egyptian.
He has scored 31 goals and made 16 assists in all competitions, helping Jurgen Klopp’s side to FA Cup and Carabao Cup glory, second place in the Premier League, and a place in this Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.
That match is all that Salah is currently focusing on but he admitted today that, whatever happens, he will be a Liverpool player next season.
Beyond that remains to be seen and Ronaldinho, who played for a number of elite clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan, has given his thoughts on the matter.
“An advice to Salah regarding his future,” he told Goal. “The most important thing is for him to be happy, football is a source of happiness and it must be no matter what club he plays for in the future.
