Kylian Mbappe has been electric in the 2021/22 season.

The Frenchman has put up some extraordinary numbers for Paris Saint-Germain this Ligue 1 campaign, scoring 28 goals and recording 17 assists.

Mbappe was the best player on the pitch in 12 games Ligue 1 games in 21/22, which is over a third of the matches he played in.

But how does his Man of the Match tally compare to the best players around Europe?

Using stats provided by WhoScored.com, we’ve named the 25 players with the most Man of the Match trophies this season in Europe’s top five leagues.

Where players are tied, we’ve sorted them by their overall rating for the campaign.

Mbappe picked up the most Man of the Match trophies in Europe’s top five leagues in 21/22.

It’s no wonder there was such a battle between PSG and Real Madrid for his signature this season.

Benzema and Nkunku make up the top three with 10 Man of the Match awards.

Lewandowski and Vinicius were both the best player on the pitch in eight league games this campaign, while Salah and Kane both picked up seven awards apiece.

Son, Haaland and Maddison are among the players that won six Man of the Match awards in 21/22.
