Manchester United ‘make initial contact over Benfica striker Darwin Nunez’

Manchester are pursuing the transfer of Darwin Nunez after making initial contact with Benfica and the player’s representatives, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Benfica over the possibility of signing Darwin Nunez in the upcoming transfer window.

Nunez, who joined Benfica from Almeria in 2020, has caught the eye of a number of clubs across Europe after scoring 26 goals in 28 league appearances this season.

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all reportedly shown an interest in the 22-year-old, but according to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have already made contact with Benfica and Nunez’s representatives.
