Erik ten Hag will need a busy summer of transfer business if he is to turn things around at Manchester United.
That’s according to Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who believes his former manager has a mammoth task on his hands at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag was officially unveiled as the new Manchester United manager yesterday, taking over from Ralf Rangnick, who has stepped back from his caretaker role.
The Dutchman is keen to get to work on fixing the problems at Manchester United, which are plentiful, to say the least.
He arrives on the back of the club’s worst-ever season in the Premier League with a squad that many believe is not fit for purpose.
A big summer of change is expected, and numerous reports have made it clear that Ten Hag will be backed in the transfer window to build a side that’ll suit the way he wants to play, and Huntelaar believes that will be necessary.
“I think Manchester are mediocre at the moment. A lot has to happen. Erik will have a busy summer,” Voetbal Primeur report him saying.
