Man City owners discussing agent commission for deal Demands started at 11.5m

As the City Group continue to work on the purchase of Brazilian side Bahia, we now get to see an interesting update from Goal Brasil regarding the agent who’s been working on this takeover.

The outlet explains talks are being handled by Paulo Pitombeira. He’s the official who represents Gabriel Jesus and has got close to Manchester City since they signed the striker.

With City Group looking for a club in Brazil, it was the agent who suggested Bahia, as he also has a good relationship with their president Guilherme Bellintani.

Talks for the takeover are in the final stages, and Goal Brasil’s story is mostly about the commission the agent could make. At this moment, there seems to be a big difference between what he demands and what the club want to pay.

The total investment in the purchase is R$700m (£114m), and the agent wanted 10%, which would be around R$70m (£11.5m).

However, the initial payment from Manchester City’s owners is only R$250m (£41m), and that’s what the Brazilian side want to base the numbers on. From that amount, they’re willing to pay between 3% (£1.23m) and 5% (£2m).
