Jadon Sancho reportedly returns to Manchester United training after taking part in an individual programme to improve his physical and mental readiness.

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly returned to training following a spell away from the first-team squad.

Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, but after enjoying success in Germany, he has failed to find his best form for the Red Devils.

In 38 competitive appearances during the 2021-22 campaign, Sancho could only manage to produce five goals and three assists.

The Englishman scored three goals and provided one assist across 14 appearances in the opening months of the current campaign, before Erik ten Hag and Sancho agreed that it was best for the player to undergo a personal training plan.

Sancho, who has not featured for the first-team since October 22, spent time in the Netherlands to undergo an individual training programme designed to improve his physical and mental readiness.

During his time in the Netherlands, Sancho worked with coaches recommended by the United boss at the amateur club OJC Rosmalen.

Although he reportedly returned to the Carrington training complex last week, he continued to work away from his teammates as part of his personal training plan.

However, according to The Athletic, the 22-year-old stepped up his comeback by returning to first-team training on Tuesday.

Sancho’s presence will only boost a side that has been in impressive form in recent weeks, winning all seven competitive matches since the resumption of club football following the World Cup break.
