‘Get a grip’ – Chairman sends blunt Jude Bellingham message to Liverpool

Liverpool signing Jude Bellingham next summer is “never going to happen”, according to the chairman of Peterborough United.

Darragh MacAnthony is not only the main man at League One side The Posh, but also a well known supporter of the Reds. However, despite his stated allegiance to Anfield, the 46-year-old has talked down the prospect of his beloved Liverpool landing £130m-rated Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, suggesting he will instead join one of European football’s super-rich clubs.

Speaking on the Hard Truth podcast, MacAnthony said: “Do people seriously think Liverpool are signing Jude Bellingham? Get a grip! With Man City, Chelsea and the wealth out there, Real Madrid, you think Bellingham is going to Liverpool? Don’t waste your time on that one, it’s never going to happen.
