I haven’t seen a lot of new Liverpool signing Fabio Carvalho, but from what I have seen he looks like a really good talent.

It’s one in the bag, but with players looking likely to leave this summer then Liverpool do need some quality to come in.

Up front is an area that needs reinforcements, and the same for midfield. Liverpool need two world class players that can help the club compete with Manchester City.

IAN DOYLE: Mohamed Salah sends Real Madrid message as Thiago concern grows

They have arguably gone and signed the best striker in the world at the moment in Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, so we need to do something similar.

With Divock Origi going, we don’t know what’s happened with Takumi Minamino, that leaves four forwards. If Mohamed Salah stays, we still need another striker.

I don’t know if Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is a player Liverpool need, but all you can say is that you trust the manager’s decisions.

You trust Klopp to go out and do it, he’s already done that with Luis Diaz this season. Let’s hope he can find another player with the same desire, hunger and quality that Diaz has got.

Mohamed Salah, Golden Boot winner

Mohamed Salah hasn’t been at his best for the past couple of months for whatever reason, but he still won the Premier League Golden Boot award jointly alongside Son Heung-Min at Tottenham Hotspur.

When I won the Golden Boot at Liverpool we won the league at the same time, and it’s a bit of a consolation when you don’t win the league.

It’s nice from a personal point of view, and if Salah stays at Liverpool for next season then he will win in then as well. It goes a long way to getting the points needed to beating Manchester City for the league title.

Origi will be remembered fondly

Divock Origi has been injury prone for most of his time at Liverpool, but he’s scored some massive goals for the club.

The two goals in the Barcelona game in 2019, then in the Champions League final against Tottenham in Madrid, the goals against Everton.

He has popped up for Liverpool time and time again, but…
