Burnley forward Maxwel Cornet has become the subject of interest from as many as 10 Premier League clubs ahead of a potential transfer this summer, according to a report.
The Ivorian enjoyed a productive debut campaign in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season, netting nine league goals in 26 appearances for the Clarets since making the £13m move from Lyon last summer.
However, Cornet’s form could not prevent Burnley’s relegation from the top flight, confirmed as a result of the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on the final day of the season at Turf Moor, meaning that the Lancashire side look likely to lose a host of first-team players in the upcoming transfer window.
It was recently revealed that Cornet has a relegation release clause included within the five-year deal signed upon joining the club last year, meaning that any interested club could sign the 25-year-old for as little as £17.5m.
As a result, numerous sides have been alerted to the availability of the forward, with 90min reporting that around 10 Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest so far.
