Barcelona ready to part ways with 23-year-old forward for 5 million

Young forward Ferran Jutgla will leave Barcelona in the summer, with the team expecting to receive €5 million for his transfer, writes Thomas Andreu of Diario Sport.

Jutgla, 23, made his senior team debut in December 2021, coming on as a late substitute for Ez Abde against Osasuna. Days later, in his first official start, the striker scored his first goal for Barcelona in a 3-2 win over Elche.

Now, it’s important to note that Barcelona were initially looking to activate the option of an additional year in his contract. The idea was to assess the forward during the pre-season camp before deciding on his future.

Over the last couple of weeks, however, the 23-year-old accumulated decent interest and Barcelona are hoping to get as much as €5 million as part of the transfer fee. The team expects to get everything done before June 30 when his contract officially expires.

It is understood that the player is very much aware of Barça’s intention and he completely agrees with the idea since he will get to play where he really wants next season.

In this way, Barcelona can represent an additional income in the books and the deal will satisfy everyone involved.

Jutgla has been a sensation for Barça B this season, scoring 19 goals and six assists in 32 Primera Division matches. He has also played nine games for the senior team, scoring two goals.
