Arsenal still favourites to sign player Gunners want him as main signing of summer

Following Manchester City’s league title triumph on Sunday, the Brazilian media soon came up with reports regarding the future of Gabriel Jesus.

The first to bring some news was journalist André Hernan. On Twitter, he published an ‘exclusive’ picture of agents Paulo Pitombeira, Marcelo Pettinati and Cacá Ferrari at the trophy celebrations.

It was claimed the representatives are already working on the situation with Manchester City, and the offers, including Arsenal’s, are said to be on the table. He added that the situation should be sorted out soon.

Confirming Hernan’s report, Globo Esporte then followed up by saying Jesus is now getting closer to Arsenal, who are the ‘most likely’ destination for him.

It’s claimed that other big Premier League clubs also approached the player, but the Gunners continue to be the favourites to land him.

Globo Esporte claims the striker has a good relationship with Arsenal director Edu Gaspar, and the lack of Champions League football next season is not an issue for the move.

It’s claimed that he’d arrive in London as the ‘main signing’ for next season, with Manchester City expecting to sell him for between €50m and €60m.
