Here is your Arsenal transfer roundup on Thursday, November 24.
Arsenal transfer target Danilo has admitted that he is friends with two current first-team stars of the Gunners after his international call-ups. He told Brazilian outlet UOL: “It [the international call-up] was very good. I made friends and learned a lot. I got closer to Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Dani Alves.
“I see myself mature enough to be able to play in any competition in the world, I’m ready. Because Palmeiras helped me a lot, from the base, with [director] João Paulo [Sampaio]. And I kept my mentality strong with the arrival of Abel.”
Marco Asensio decision
Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has been linked with a switch to Arsenal in the window as his contract dwindles, however the forward has now spoken out on his future. He told Radio Marca: “Hopefully the renewal can be done and I will be very happy at Real Madrid.
“Hopefully it’s to stay for 10 more years here at Real. It’s not just me deciding — it’s also up to the club.”
Arsenal are joined by London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham in the race to sign Juventus and France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to CalcioMercato. The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent next summer, leaving open the possibility of a switch.
However, Juventus are still trying to work on an extension, having almost signed off on a switch to Manchester United a few months back.
